Athletics Leaders Award

The Athletics Leaders Award will introduce individuals to a range of athletics activities to develop the run, jump and throw skills of athletes in the fundamentals and foundation stages of development. It is designed to equip helpers in athletics with a basic understanding of these key principles. An Athletics Leader will work with a Supervising Coach and will lead part of a session using task cards. The course duration is one day and is designed with the parent helper in mind.

Leadership In Running Fitness Award

Leadership in Running Fitness is designed to prepare you as a Leader to provide a safe and enjoyable running experience for people over 12 years of age, of any level of ability, age, size and shape. The course will enable you to deliver fun and safe sessions to multi-ability groups and give advice and support to the new runner, as well as developing pathways for those who want to progress. It focuses on understanding and overcoming barriers to participation in running and how to increase participation by those not traditionally attracted to a running club. On completion of the course you will be a qualified and insured leader and issued with a leader’s ID card.
