Les qualified as a coach in 2006 after a successful competitive sprinting career. Since coming to the club he has been Club President, Club Chairman and a valued member of the committee.
He now runs our advanced sprinting and jumping group on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the 10-14 year olds training at 6.30pm – 7.30pm and the 13 years upwards training at 7.30pm – 8.30pm. He also runs a conditioning group on a Saturday morning for his older elite athletes.
Les travels around the country to many major events and is proud to say that the majority of his athletes compete for the club at competitions and Track and Field events.
Justine qualified in 2011 after coming along to the club as a parent. She is assistant coach in Gwylim’s group. Justine is also a qualified swimming coach and has extensive experience of working with youngsters with special needs. She works closely with the youngsters to develop their listening and focusing skills, making coaching sessions more effective for athletes and coaches alike.
Tina began running in 1997 and has completed nine marathons. She began coaching a ladies beginners group in 2004. She now coaches the Hawks and looks after up to fifty 6-8 year olds every Tuesday night. Tina gets a great deal of self satisfaction from encouraging her group to become confident and competitive young athletes through the use of fun and games.
