The superb boys and girls of the under 15s sportshall athletic team at Bolton United Harriers are on a roll. During November, December and January they took part in the Greater Manchester Sporthall Athletic League competing against some of the top North West teams such as Trafford, Wigan, Bury and Altrincham. Every athlete excelled helping the team win each round and at the end of the competition the U11 girls took 3rd place, U13girls 4th place and U15 girls came 2nd, the boys went even further with the U11’s and U13’s coming 1st and the U15’s coming 2nd, culminating in a win of 796 points, 305 points clear of the second team, Trafford.
Then last Sunday they took part in the Greater Manchester AA Championships, again our athletes made us very proud and on the day gave 110%, most of them achieving personal bests. Altogether 41 medals were won - 22 gold, 9 silver and 10 bronze.
